The Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) convened the Legislative Liaison System (LLS) for the Strategic Advocacy & Legislative Vetting Operations (SALVO) Seminar-Workshop held on March 20, 2025, at Manila Diamond Hotel.
In his welcome remarks, Presidential Adviser on Legislative Affairs and PLLO Head, Sec. Mark Llandro L. Mendoza, expressed his gratitude to the LLS members for their unwavering commitment in ensuring the efficient Executive-Legislative collaboration. He emphasized that as the 19th Congress nears its adjournment, there is a need to strategically maximize the legislative window to advance the remaining priority measures. He also underscored the importance of refining strategies and coordination in preparation for the 20th Congress.
The event brought together key legislative and executive agencies in a series of breakout sessions. During these sessions, participants exchanged insights, reviewed legislative challenges, and aligned their efforts to accelerate the passage of crucial bills. Each cluster later presented their outputs, highlighting key legislative priorities and strategic approaches to navigate the remaining days of the legislative calendar.
In his closing remarks, Usec. Agapito H. Guanlao reiterated the PLLO’s commitment to supporting the LLS and concerned agencies in legislative negotiations, emphasizing the power of coordination and strategic planning in shaping impactful policies.
