The Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) conducted the seminar-workshop entitled HEALTH AND WELLNESS 101: A Self-Care Day and Seminar-Workshop on Updates of PhilHealth Rules and Regulations on 14 March, from 8AM to 5PM, at AAP Tower, Cubao, Quezon City.
The self-care development component of the activity was aimed to empower women and honor their roles and responsibilities in shaping the society. The PLLO engaged service providers to share and demonstrate their field of expertise. Nailtropics demonstrated samples of nails and massage services, while Ms. Nathalie Sunga and her team provided basic hair styling lessons to all participants. In addition to the efforts of the PLLO to increase gender awareness among its officials and employees, the PLLO leadership deemed it fitting to also promote the development aspect of GAD. As such, the PLLO GAD Focal Point System spearheaded the conduct of the seminar-workshop on Updates of PhilHealth Rules and Regulations. Dr. Adeline A. Mesina, Division Chief, Benefits Development and Research Department (BDRD), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), served as resource person.
