The Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) conducted the PLLO Interface with the Senate Technical Staff and Secretariat at the Diamond Hotel Manila, 22 August 2024.
Part of the mandate of the PLLO is the effective implementation of advocacy strategies and interventions, as such, it is imperative for PLLO to devise activities geared toward establishing strong, efficient, and reliable rapport within the legislative system to intensify advocacy efforts in the Senate and facilitate the passage of the remaining priority measures of the Administration by the end of the Third Session of the 19th Congress.
In his message, Secretary Mark Llandro Mendoza, Presidential Adviser on Legislative Affairs, emphasized the importance of the activity: 1. strengthen friendship; 2. reinforce strategic alliances; and 3. compare notes and updates on the priority measures. All these are important in achieving the ultimate goal of passing legislative measures included in the Presidential Legislative Agenda (PLA) and the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) Common Legislative Agenda (CLA). Finally, it was emphasized that the PLLO remains committed in providing timely technical support to the Senate and the House of Representatives.
For his part, Undersecretary Bernardino Sayo reminded everyone of the importance of upholding responsive legislations for the improvement of the country.
