The first day of the Legislative Advocacy Action Planning Workshop of the Legislative Liaison System (LLS) began with an Opening Program where the workshop objective, mechanics, and expected outputs were discussed to the participants.
In her Welcoming message, Assistant Secretary Rose Virginie B. Iñigo recognized the contribution of the LLS in the work of the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) in shepherding Presidential legislative priorities and the common legislative agenda of both chambers of Congress. Asec. Iñigo also encouraged the attendees to continue collaborating with PLLO for a more efficient and productive legislative process.
The participants proceeded to their respective meeting rooms per cluster for their breakout discussions to throuroughly discuss the issues that needs to be resolved for the LEDAC priority measures to be passed by end of the 19th Congress. Each cluster elected rapporteurs to discuss to the plenary the results of the breakout sessions. PLLO officials and cluster coordinators served as moderators of the discussions. Assigned PLLO staff were also tasked to synthesize the discussions.
