President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. signed into law Republic Act No. 11997, also known as the “Kabalikat sa Pagtuturo Act", in a ceremony held at the Rizal Ceremonial Hall, Malacañan Palace, 03 June 2024.
Under the new law, the teaching allowance will be increased from PhP5,000 to PhP10,000 beginning on School Year 2025-2026.
The Teaching Allowance shall be used for the purchase of tangible or intangible teaching supplies and materials, payment of incidental expenses, and the implementation or conduct of various learning delivery modalities.
Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) Secretary Mark Llandro Mendoza, together with other PLLO officials and staff, assisted during the said event.
