The second day of the Legislative Advocacy Action Planning Workshop of the Legislative Liaison System (LLS) served as the culmination of the breakout discussions.
Participants were convened at the plenary for the reporting of clusters on their assigned LEDAC priority measures. Clusters chose rapporteurs based on which is the lead agency handling the bill.
During the event, participants also signed a Declaration of Support and Commitment reflecting on the agreed Collective Advocacy Strategy, which will be submitted as consensus document to the President, the Senate President, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Secretary Mark Llandro L. Mendoza, Presidential Adviser on Legislative Affairs and Head of the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO), expressed gratitude to the LLS Family for always heeding the call to contribute and cooperate with the efforts of the PLLO to produce Executive version of the bills included in as LEDAC priority measures. He also looked back on the 37 years of operations of PLLO and encouraged the LLS Family to continue supporting the PLLO in aiming for more efficient and successful collaboration with Congress.
