The Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on House Bill No. 9450 or Amending the 2008 Cooperative Code which was held at Hotel Novotel Araneta, Quezon City, 22 November 2023.
The participants discussed the details and opinions of stakeholders on the proposed measure such as the creation and registration of cooperatives, provisions on agriculture and electric cooperatives, and foreign partnerships.
Concerned agencies were requested to submit to PLLO their respective position papers and proposed languages, style, and additional provisions for consolidation in order to arrive at a consensus bill.
