The Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) organized a Gender and Development (GAD) Seminar-Workshop entitled “Oh, Tukso Layuan Mo Ako! How to Resolve and Prevent Various Forms of Corruption in the Workplace” which was held at Kasile Hills Nature Resort and Events Venue, Cabuyao, Laguna, 5-6 October 2023.
Prosecutor Analyn Banzuela served as the GAD seminar speaker and workshop facilitator. Her lecture apprised PLLO officials and employees to fully understand the concept of corruption and the extent of its effects, especially in gender roles and issues. It also emphasized various forms of corruption in the workplace that also affect women employees.
During the workshop, various laws, human experience, and incidents relevant to the topic were also presented. Officials and employees critiqued possible responses to such situation. Possible measures to prevent and/or eradicate corruption risks, such as personal favors, soliciting, and gift-giving/receiving relative to the function of PLLO were also discussed.
During the two-day activity, Secretary Mark Llandro L. Mendoza delivered an inspirational message and appreciated the active participation of all officials and employees in the PLLO-GAD program. Sec. Mendoza also highlighted the achievements of PLLO with the additional priority legislations of the Marcos Administration which were recently approved in various stages in the House of Representatives and the Senate. Undersecretaries Bernardino Sayo and Agapito Guanlao likewise delivered the Opening and Closing Remarks, respectively.
